Steps to optimize computer networks

Abstract: The article tells about modern methods of designing computer networks and innovations in computer networks. The development of conditions for communication combinations of network devices and packet exchange processes gave an optimal result. The most effective devices for eliminating delays and collisions in networks are proposed. The economic investments for the project implementation were also calculated.
Аннотация: В статье рассказывается о современных методах проектирования компьютерных сетей и нововведениях в компьютерных сетях. Отработка условий коммуникационных комбинаций сетевых устройств и процессов пакетного обмена дала оптимальный результат. Предложены наиболее эффективные устройства для устранения задержек и коллизий в сетях. Также были рассчитаны экономические инвестиции для реализации проекта.

Introduction
Computer networks are designed based on a large set of rules. There will also be a great need for software. In this article, a simple organization example project is developed and the compatibility of devices is analyzed.
Main body
1. The structure of a computer network
A computer network is necessary for the operation of 3 departments (engineering, accounting, personnel department), as well as management. 15 people work in the engineering department, 14 people in the accounting department, 3 people in the personnel department. The company's management consists of 6 people.
The company is located in two territories. The head office houses the management, accounting, and personnel departments. In a remote area - the engineering department.
For the head office, the company rents 2 floors, each with 6 rooms. For a remote office 1 floor, 7 rooms. Each department has confidential information, access to which must be closed to employees of other departments.
2. Server Design
Network servers are hardware and software systems that perform the functions of managing the distribution of network resources for general access, which can also work like a regular subscriber system. A rather powerful PC, designed specifically as a server, is used as the hardware part of the server. Dedicated servers are specifically optimized to quickly process requests from client computers and to protect user files on the server (figure 1,2,3). The advantages of a server-based network are:
- unlimited number of users;
- high performance;
- high security.
A file server is installed on this network. File servers are servers with a powerful disk subsystem for centralizing file storage and restricting access to them, as well as for ensuring storage reliability. A dedicated server on a local network is intended solely for providing its resources for general use, and not for direct work on it. It usually has increased power and reliability of the hardware, as well as the software used (Table 1).
3.Purpose, specialization and server software
HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 Server Specifications:
- Case: tower;
- Processor: 8-core Xeon Silver 4110 CPU 2.1 GHz;
- Memory: 16 GB DDR4 2.400 MHz (maximum 3 TB);
- RAID: HP Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 SAS3 RAID;

- No standard HDD (maximum 24 SFF/12 LFF);

- Dimensions: 175 x 685 x 466 mm (WHD).

Conclution
In this article, we examined the structure of a modern local computer network based on a server and which is built on the following principles:
- Ethernet protocol (802.3) is used;
- Ability to expand the network;
- Star topology;
- A single switching node for the entire office;
- Using UTP-5 (twisted pair) cable;
- Physical layer specification - 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet.
The built network allows individual users to easily and quickly interact with each other.
