1. Introduction

We are trying to overcome the heavy psychology of an academic education, forming in learners the right attitude and motivation towards studying.

Study to perfect your personality to suit the human training goals of the new era. Therefore, entering the new century, educators in many countries around the world are very interested in letting learners promote their proactiveness in learning. To achieve this, creating interest in learners is one of the particularly important tasks of education in the current period.

Therefore, in each specific lesson and for each specific subject, the teacher must arouse students' interest in learning, making them feel interested in learning and eager to discover new things. new, find that what they have just learned is useful for themselves and at the end of the class, they have a good impression of the subject, feeling refreshed, useful and interesting. Interest in learning is one of the psychological factors closely related to the cognitive process of learners that psychological science is particularly interested in, along with positivity, attention, memory, and thinking. thinking...of the students.

In theory, yes, but in reality, creating interest in learning for learners is not an easy and simple task. That depends on many factors: the interests and talents of the students, the interesting nature and importance of the subject, the lesson, the pedagogical talent of the lecturer, the conditions and means of teaching. teach. Until now, psychologists have not been able to research deeply and fully what is related to this important psychological state. Obviously, if interest is mentioned, one person may be interested in these issues or subjects, but another person may be interested in completely different issues or subjects. To be more precise, interest is both personal and social. So it is obvious that there cannot be a subject that can make all learners passionate, nor is there a subject that cannot attract any student, but the problem is that even so No matter what, we still have to find ways to increase students' interest to the highest possible level because that is one of the prerequisites to bring students to all knowledge in a convenient way. most comfortable and effective.

2. Content

The subject of physical education in universities and colleges always holds an important position in training comprehensively developed knowledge, high professional ability, and good health to serve society... In the past year, with the investment attention of the Party and State, the Ministry of Education and Training, the work of Physical Education in universities and colleges has developed strongly, contributing to improving the indicators. on form - function and physical activity ability of students. However, a sad current situation is that physical education in universities and colleges has unbalanced development; students love to play sports but are not interested in studying the subject. That has significantly affected the quality and effectiveness of physical education programs in universities and colleges.

Concept of Physical Education

Physical education is a form of education aimed at equipping skills, techniques and specialized knowledge, developing physical qualities and enhancing health. The combination of these processes determines the ability of humans to adapt physically. Thus, physical education can be divided into two relatively independent aspects: teaching movements and educating physical qualities.

The first basic and specific characteristic of physical education is the basic content of physical education. It is the process of systematically transmitting and absorbing ways to properly control human movement, thereby forming basic movement skills and techniques necessary in life and professional knowledge.

The nature of the second component in physical education is to have a reasonable impact on the development of physical qualities to ensure the development of motor abilities such as: fast, strong, durable, dexterous, flexible... People call it physical education in the narrow sense, characterized by: learning movements and educating people's physical movements in the education system with the meaning that education can aim to improve physical strength. body movements.

Thus, physical education is a type of education whose specific content is teaching movements and educating human movement qualities. But teaching and developing physical qualities are closely related, serving as a premise for each other and can even support each other. But they are never identical and are related differently in different stages of physical development and physical education. Understanding and luck Applying the above characteristics and relationships is one of the top requirements for physical education and sports educators in the education system. That specific content of physical education is associated with virtue and aesthetics. education, labor education.

Concept of interest in learning Physical Education

Students' interest in learning physical education is a unique attitude, due to students' awareness of the meaning and importance of physical education for training goals, as well as its attractiveness. about the emotional aspects of the content, methods and teaching organization of physical education for students in the learning process.

Students' interest in learning physical education is formed and developed through the interaction between subject and object that causes interest. The foundation of students' interest in learning physical education is the subject's awareness of the role and position of physical education with respect to training requirements. However, this fundamental element can only become exciting for students when it is combined with attraction; excitement and pleasure from the content, methods, means, and forms of learning and organization of physical education. In other words, if there is only student awareness of the role and position of physical education without emotional and emotional appeal, there cannot be student interest in the subject. This. This is the core factor that creates the uniqueness of students' interest in general and their interest in learning physical education in particular.

The role of excitement in students' sports activities

Excitement has an important meaning for human life and activities. People feel comfortable because they are interested. Excitement stimulates people's positivity, excitement increases the individual's ability to work, has endurance and works passionately. Excitement increases the efficiency of cognitive processes. Because it is related to attention and emotions, once interested, the individual directs the entire cognitive process toward the object, making that process more sensitive and profound. Excitement increases cognitive efficiency, people work without feeling tired. Interest gives rise to people's desire to satisfy activities, then interest becomes the driving force that motivates people to act. Thanks to interest, people develop good personalities such as: perseverance, independence... Deeply developed interest will create an individual's need for excitement. The individual finds it necessary to take action to satisfy that interest. Actions that are consistent with one's interests are usually carried out with great self-awareness and creativity, so they always yield results.

Sports activity is a special type of activity because it requires maximum physical and psychological stress during competition and training sessions. On the other hand, sports activities are purely voluntary, their effectiveness depends greatly on the interest, passion, direct motives and ambitions of the practitioner. Excitement helps practitioners overcome difficulties often encountered in the specific conditions of sports activities and motivates them to achieve higher sports performance.

Some reasons affecting students' interest in learning physical education

Not aware of the effects of physical education on health. Their physical qualities are weak, so students are afraid to practice and fear that others will laugh at them. Practicing causes immediate fatigue, leading to students being lazy and reluctant to exercise. Too much time studying other subjects leads to fatigue and loss of interest and ability to study physical education. There is no free time to practice outside of physical education classes. Outside of school hours, there are no grounds, facilities or equipment for extra practice. Psychology is affected due to some unhappy things happening in life. The lecturer's teaching method is not attractive. Teachers rarely encourage and motivate learners. The lecturer's teaching and modeling capacity is not convincing. Lecturers are not enthusiastic in the process of teaching and guiding students. There is a lot of theoretical introduction but little practice implementation. The curriculum is monotonous and impractical. Arranging physical education classes at inappropriate times. Bad weather conditions affect the subject. The subject is not considered as important by schools and society as other subjects. Lack of attention from the school, poor and outdated physical facilities, unable to meet the teaching and learning needs of students. Physical education course scores are not included in the overall academic average.

Some measures to increase students' interest in learning physical education

To increase students' interest in learning physical education at universities and colleges, there needs to be a synchronous combination of groups of measures originating from the following components: social organizations - school - family - lecturers - students, specifically:

For social organizations

  • The Party and state need to build and develop a mainstream national sport to be taught throughout the national education system, serving as a guiding principle for motivating generations of students to participate. study and practice.
  • The State, ministries, branches, and social organizations need to have plans and issue legal documents to encourage and motivate students to be more motivated and interested in participating in learning. and practice physical education.
  • Social organizations, unions, and associations of universities and colleges need to organize more tournaments and sports fields for students so that students have a place to play and have a purpose. goal of engaging in physical activity.

For universities and colleges

  • Universities and colleges need to create good conditions in terms of facilities and equipment to meet the training needs of students.
  • Develop a physical education curriculum that meets the criteria and goals of physical development for students in accordance with the development of the local sports movement.
  • Create and build sports clubs, teams, and groups in schools to create many sports playgrounds for students to participate in.
  • We must promote the position of physical education in schools so that students are interested in learning like other subjects for more comprehensive physical development.

For family

  • Parents need to create conditions for students to love and practice many sports, encourage and motivate them to actively practice a certain main sport to regularly practice to keep your health.
  • Family members need to support and practice sports together to create bonds between family members.
  • Regularly connect with the school to understand the schedule of physical education subjects and sports activities at your child's sports clubs, regularly urge, remind and encourage , timely reward .
  • Build a family of sports culture in the locality, actively encourage children to participate in locally organized sports tournaments to promote the spirit of physical training following the example of President Ho Chi Minh.
  • To help children have a strong and healthy body is a difficult task that cannot be achieved overnight. It takes time and requires special attention from the family. In physical education, understanding students' psychological characteristics to create excitement for them during activities is extremely important. It helps them actively participate in sports activities, so the effectiveness of physical education will be higher. To create excitement for students in sports activities, we must first grasp the psychological characteristics and expressions of students' interest in physical education activities, and on that basis to evaluate their performance. interest in learning and propose measures to increase students' interest in this activity.
