Recently, when Kyrgyzstan cooperation with other countries in the field of medicine has greatly increased, there is a need for competitive, competent medical specialists who are able to solve problems at the international level, create joint ventures and firms, representative offices of foreign companies and research laboratories and institutions. Proficiency in a foreign language indicates the success and relevance of a specialist in his professional world. Over the past two decades, there have been colossal changes in the development of technical teaching aids, trends in education have changed significantly.

The purpose of this article is to reveal the main characteristics of interactive teaching of a foreign language in a non-linguistic university.

Education in our university is aimed mainly at a solid mastery of educational material. For this, different teaching methods are used to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process. This requires joint activities of the student and the teacher, where the teacher is the organizer of the process, and the student is an active participant. And if a communicative approach was promoted earlier, now its variety is increasingly coming to the fore - an interactive teaching method, which has been widely used in Western methods of teaching foreign languages. training programs in many countries of the world, is the interactive method of teaching a foreign language.

For us, teachers, this method is of great interest for increasing motivation in the educational process, saving study time, and the quality of teaching students of non-linguistic specialties of the university. The advantage of the interactive teaching method over the traditional form of teaching is that all students are actively involved in the language practice in the classroom.

By teaching a foreign language in the traditional way, we only transfer as much information as possible, and the student only needs an accurate transfer of knowledge. Such communication is a closed, one-way form. If the student asks a clarifying question, then there is a two-way communication. Semantic knowledge is absent, only the process of mechanical reproduction of educational material takes place. The student is passive, his function is listening.

A feature of interactive learning is that the student does not receive ready-made knowledge from the teacher, but learns to receive them in a favorable psychological environment, in the process of his cognitive activity in situations where he actively discusses, defends his point of view, where he learns various ways of knowledge. This is the main difference from other methods of teaching a foreign language.

In recent years, the problem of active and interactive methods of teaching a foreign language in modern society is of particular relevance. This is due to integrative processes in culture and economy. In this regard, there is a need for scientific and methodological support and support of the discipline.

Based on this, the teacher faces the question: what effective methods of teaching a foreign language to use in order to achieve the ultimate goal, i.e. to ensure the formation of communicative competence among students of our university. Interactive and active teaching methods - a system of rules for organizing productive interaction between students and with the teacher in the form of educational, business, role-playing games and discussions, in which new experience is mastered and new knowledge is obtained.

In modern methodology, there are many active and interactive methods. I will focus on those that have been researched and already tested in personal professional and pedagogical practice.

It is assumed that the program of teaching a foreign language at AZMI is based on the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the basic course of a general education school. But the practice of work shows that students have different levels of training for the reason that the applicants are school graduates from different districts of the region and from different social and educational environments. There are students who have not studied a foreign language at all or who have studied a language other than at the university.

This requires a differentiated approach to students, the development of a sense of self-confidence in their abilities. And undoubtedly, an active and interactive method of teaching foreign languages helps us in this.

And in conclusion, I would like to note the great value and importance of the interactive teaching method. Interactive methods are focused on a wider interaction of students not only with the teacher, but also with each other and on the dominance of the activity of students in the learning process.

The novelty of the use of interactive methods includes important and necessary key points, tasks that are completely optional in traditional methods that have been widely used in our education system until recently. , forms the skill of teamwork, where leadership qualities are brought up and cognitive motivation increases. Interactive methods of work develop the skills of independent work, independent search for material on the topic under study, teach the skills of successful communication and, as a result, increase their own self-esteem. . What is important is not the amount of information received, but how it was received, the ability to apply it in practice and whether it is personally significant for students. The teacher is required to seriously change his professional thinking and activities to change the learning activities.
